About us
Wakatipu High School is a co-educational public school located in Queenstown and has a roll of over 1450 students. The school is modern and offers amazing facilities to students and staff alike.
About the role
This role requires a high level of coordination between different stakeholders - meaning organisation skills and attention to detail are crucial alongside strong technical skills.
This role is a permanent part time position, 30 hours per week, 44 weeks per year (school term time only, plus 1 week during each school holiday period) and sits at Grade 3 ($29.52 - $31.41 per hour) on the Support Staff within Schools' Collective Agreement (this agreement is currently under review as part of ongoing collective agreement negotiations). Hours to be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Qualifications & experience
- Administration experience required
- Project Coordination and/or logistics experience will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Experience with Google Office (or MS Office) suite, particularly Sheets/Excel and Docs/Word
- Experience with developing budgets
- Comfortable using a range of software applications and ability to pick up new applications and technology easily
Tasks & responsibilities
- Communications with staff, students, families and the community
- Supporting the Director of Arts/Head of Learning Area - Arts and teaching staff with implementation of actions plans
- Logistics for events including; Ticketing, Programme creation, Runsheets, Marketing, Catering.
- General Administration activities
- Budgeting, purchasing, invoicing and stock management
- Supporting students/mentoring for events/shows
